To mark the opening of Rosewood’s first hotel in the Netherlands, we shaped a moment that unfolded as a living exhibition. Set within the former Palace of Justice, the experience honours the building’s past while opening a new chapter of contemporary luxury. Refined yet unexpected, where art, atmosphere and intuition come together. A quiet yet powerful opening that introduced Rosewood Amsterdam not only as a hotel, but as a place of cultural presence.
Guests entered through sculptural installations inspired by legal attire, gently referencing the building’s history. In the courtyard, a one time performance of Heliotrope by Heleen Blanken, accompanied by a custom live edit of Egg Modern by Jameszoo, marked the opening. The moment felt intimate, almost suspended in time.
A carefully curated guest list set the tone from the beginning. As the evening unfolded, each space revealed a new layer, from a surreal tattoo parlour to moments of caviar, oysters and a softly glowing snack wall. From the entrance hall to the Boiler Room Kitchen, every detail was considered, reflecting Rosewood’s sense of place through a contemporary lens.
